Surveillance Officer
The Surveillance Officer is responsible for safeguarding the integrity, security, and compliance of all live casino operations. This role ensures that all gaming activities across live tables, card rooms, and controlled areas are continuously monitored and assessed for irregularities, procedural adherence, and potential risks. The Surveillance Officer acts as a first line of defence against collusion, misconduct, and operational deviations while ensuring that all incidents are correctly logged, escalated, and managed in real time.
Key Responsibilities
Live Table Monitoring & Game Integrity
• Continuously monitor all live game tables to ensure gameplay accuracy and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Detect possible collusion, suspicious player behaviour, or integrity risks in real-time.
• Identify and report unnoticed or unreported errors committed by game presenters or floor staff.
• Analyse bet patterns, player interactions, and table activities to ensure fair play and compliance.
Incident Handling & Real-Time Response
• Actively manage live incidents by providing clear instructions to game presenters and floor staff via the signalling system.
• Escalate high-risk or critical situations to the Surveillance Manager or relevant operational teams immediately.
• Ensure all disruptions are handled promptly to minimize operational impact and protect game integrity.
• Follow escalation protocols consistently and maintain professional judgment under pressure.
Reporting, Documentation & Evidence Management
• Accurately log and document all incidents, procedural violations, and suspicious activities using internal reporting systems.
• Assist with the preparation of detailed incident reports for internal review, disciplinary processes, or compliance investigations.
• Capture and preserve video footage or photographic evidence as required.
• Maintain high-quality and compliant documentation standards.
Card Room & Shuffle Operations Monitoring
• Conduct live monitoring of card room operations, ensuring all shuffling, card handling, and canister procedures follow SOPs.
• Observe shuffle leads and shufflers to ensure quality control, discipline, and task integrity.
• Report any deviation, mishandling, or breach of protocol.
CCTV Operation & Technical Oversight
• Operate CCTV and other surveillance equipment to ensure complete coverage of all critical studio and card room areas.
• Conduct routine checks on surveillance systems to ensure cameras, storage systems, and monitoring tools function correctly.
• Immediately report any technical malfunction or blind spot to the Surveillance Manager or technical team.
Compliance & Regulatory Governance
• Monitor and report all non-compliance activities across studio, live tables, and card room operations.
• Support the enforcement of company policies, AML measures, regulatory standards, and SOPs.
• Identify trends, repeated errors, or operational risks and recommend corrective actions.
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support
• Work closely with the Surveillance Manager, Floor Operations, Card Room teams, and Studio Management to ensure transparency and operational efficiency.
• Provide feedback to relevant departments when recurring issues arise (e.g., presenter errors, card room inconsistencies, table behaviour patterns).
• Support audits, investigations, and compliance checks when required.
Additional ad-hoc duties may be requested as per company requirements.

• Strong communication skills, especially for signalling and incident escalation.
• Integrity, confidentiality, and a deep commitment to maintaining fair play.
• Ability to work shift schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Familiarity with surveillance tools, CCTV systems, and casino operations (preferred).
Requirements
• Previous experience in surveillance, risk, security operations, or live casino operations is an asset.
• Basic understanding of live casino games (e.g., Baccarat, Roulette, Blackjack).
• Strong computer literacy and ability to multitask across multiple monitoring systems.
• Ability to interpret procedures, policies, and regulatory guidelines.
