Senior Finance Manager
Job Description
The Senior Finance Manager will take a leading role in overseeing the company’s financial operations, ensuring robust financial governance, and delivering high-quality reporting to support strategic decision-making. Reporting to the Finance Controller, this role requires a proactive and hands-on leader who can drive financial excellence, strengthen internal controls, and enhance financial processes across the organisation.
The Senior Finance Manager will act as a key bridge between operational finance and senior leadership, contributing to the financial strategy while maintaining strong oversight of day-to-day activities.
Role & Key Responsibilities
Financial Oversight: Lead the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable accounting standards.
Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and develop the finance team, promoting a high-performance culture and continuous professional growth.
Accounting Operations: Oversee all core accounting functions including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and reconciliations, ensuring efficiency and control.
Cash Flow & Treasury: Take ownership of cash flow management, including forecasting, liquidity planning, and optimization of working capital.
Internal Controls & Governance: Strengthen and monitor internal control frameworks to ensure the integrity of financial data and safeguard company assets.
Audit & Compliance: Assist with the preparation of external audits, ensuring timely delivery and full compliance with statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements.
Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives across finance systems, reporting, and processes to enhance efficiency and scalability.
Business Partnering: Support senior stakeholders with financial insights, performance analysis, and strategic recommendations to guide decision-making.
Other Responsibilities: Undertake additional duties, projects, and strategic initiatives as required by the Finance Controller or senior management, adapting to evolving business needs and priorities.
Required Skills
Leadership & Influence: Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
Analytical Thinking: Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and translate it into strategic insights.
Systems & Tools: Strong experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP), advanced Excel skills, and familiarity with BI tools such as Power BI.
Organizational Excellence: Ability to manage competing priorities, meet tight deadlines, and maintain high-quality output.
Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly to both financial and non-financial audiences.
Qualifications
Fully qualified accountant (e.g., ACCA, CPA, or equivalent)
Minimum 4–6 years of experience in finance roles, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial or senior capacity
