Junior Graphic Designer
Job Purpose
The Junior Graphic Designer will support the creative team in producing engaging visual assets for digital and print channels. Working under the guidance of senior designers, this role contributes to brand-consistent design execution, prepares production-ready files, and helps maintain organised asset libraries and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Design Support & Asset Creation

Assist in the creation of layouts, imagery, social media posts, banners, email templates, and marketing collateral that align with brand guidelines.

Prepare and export production-ready files for web, mobile and print, ensuring correct formats, colour profiles and resolution.

Create and adapt visual assets for A/B tests, campaigns and promotions as required by the marketing calendar.
Brand & Quality Governance

Follow established brand guidelines and design systems to ensure consistency across all touchpoints.

Adhere to quality control processes, checking typography, colour accuracy and alignment before handover.

Support senior designers in maintaining and updating the company asset library and component documentation.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Communication

Work closely with marketing, product and content teams to understand requirements and deliver on briefs.

Attend creative reviews and incorporate feedback promptly and professionally.

Escalate potential issues or delays to the Design Lead with recommended actions.
Production & Workflow

Support version control and file organisation to ensure asset traceability and efficient handover to developers and suppliers.

Assist with simple motion graphics and animated assets for digital channels where required.

Follow established change and approval processes for design amendments and final sign-off.
Continuous Improvement & Learning

Proactively develop technical skills and knowledge of digital design tools, techniques and best practices.

Contribute ideas to improve templates, workflows and asset reuse across teams.

Participate in team training, peer reviews and design critiques to build capability.
Working Hours & Availability

Standard working hours apply, with occasional flexibility required to meet campaign deadlines or project milestones.

Availability for periodic reviews or production runs outside normal hours may be required on occasion.
Skills & Competencies
Core Competencies
-
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and familiarity with Figma or equivalent UI tools.

Basic understanding of layout, typography, colour theory and composition.

Attention to detail and strong file organisation habits.

Ability to follow brand guidelines and design systems accurately.

Experience & Qualifications

1+ years’ experience in a graphic design or junior creative role, agency or in-house.

A portfolio that demonstrates solid visual design skills across digital and print.

Working knowledge of production requirements for web and print.

Formal qualification in graphic design or relevant discipline is desirable but not essential.
Role Boundaries

This is an individual contributor role focused on design execution and support; it does not include direct line management responsibilities.

The role does not own strategy or brand governance but operates within assigned guidelines and under the direction of senior design staff.
