R&D Engineer
Role & Key Responsibilities:
The R&D Engineer plays a pivotal role in the design, development, and optimization of advanced mechanical systems that power our live studio environments. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, creativity, and hands-on engineering skills to create reliable, scalable, and efficient studio equipment and infrastructure.
You will collaborate closely with production, operations, and R&D teams to transform technical concepts into robust, manufacturable solutions that enhance performance, durability, and visual quality across our live studios.
You will be responsible for:
• Designing, modelling, and calculating mechanical assemblies, studio structures, and precision components for live production environments.
• Performing tolerance and dimensional analyses, ensuring mechanical stability, manufacturability, and longevity.
• Driving continuous improvements in mechanical systems based on performance data, innovation trends, and emerging technologies.
• Preparing and maintain detailed technical documentation - including drawings, assembly manuals, and material specifications.
• Applying Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Reliability (DFR) principles to optimise cost, performance, and ease of assembly.
• Validating designs through testing, data analysis, and structured feedback from studio operations.
• Supporting installation and maintenance processes to ensure system integrity and practical applicability.
• Utilising advanced 3D modelling tools (e.g., Autodesk Fusion 360, SolidWorks, CATIA, 3DS Max) for accurate visualization and error-free production.
• Designing and visualising Live Casino table environments using data-driven 3D models in 3DS Max, optimizing studio layout and table placement.
• Improving pre-production planning by enabling stakeholders to assess camera angles and spatial configurations in advance, resulting in cost savings and increased operational efficiency.
Required Skills:
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline, and equivalent hands-on experience in iGaming/streaming environments.
• Proven experience (3+ years) in mechanical design and product development - from concept and prototyping to production.
• Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and mechanical tolerances, with the ability to design for both precision and efficiency.
• Hands-on experience working with 3D CAD software (Autodesk Fusion 360, SolidWorks, or similar) and producing production-ready drawings.
• Solid grasp of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Reliability (DFR) principles, with an ability to balance technical excellence and cost-effectiveness.
• Comfortable working across engineering, production, and creative teams, translating ideas into robust, practical solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for continuous improvement.
• Knowledge of tolerance analysis, dimensional calculations, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
• Curious, hands-on mindset (someone who enjoys understanding how things work, finding smarter ways to build them, and seeing the impact of their designs in real-world environments).
