Business & System Analyst
Job summary
We are seeking a versatile and proactive Business & System Analyst to work across a variety of business and IT functions. You will support projects that enhance operational efficiency, implement and optimize gaming platforms, and drive organizational change. In this role, you will work with stakeholders to gather requirements, analyse processes, identify improvements, and help deliver solutions that align with strategic goals.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, stakeholder engagement, and supporting the delivery of projects across IT and business operations.
Key Responsibilities
Requirements Gathering & Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with business units to capture, document, and refine requirements for new initiatives and process changes.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather input, build consensus, and define priorities.
- Translate business needs into clear, structured documentation for technical and non-technical teams.
System & Data Analysis
- Analyse player lifecycle workflows, payment processes, and CRM integrations to identify inefficiencies or improvement opportunities.
- Evaluate system capabilities to ensure alignment between business requirements and platform functionality.
- Conduct impact assessments and feasibility studies for system updates, new integrations, and regulatory changes.
Technical Liaison
- Work closely with software engineers, platform architects, third-party game providers, and payment vendors to ensure requirements are technically sound and properly implemented.
- Support the creation of integration specifications, API documentation, and data mapping between internal and external systems (e.g., wallet systems, RNG platforms, CRM, and reporting tools).
- Assist in defining configuration, customization, and testing needs for new gaming features, content management systems (CMS), or player-facing tools.
Testing, Implementation & Support
- Develop and execute test plans and UAT scenarios for new games, features, and system enhancements to verify functionality, data accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate with QA teams to track defects and ensure resolutions before deployment.
- Support go-live activities and post-launch reviews, ensuring seamless transitions between testing and production environments.
- Investigate system issues (e.g., payment errors, data mismatches, API failures), perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with IT or vendors to resolve them.
Documentation & Continuous Improvement
- Produce clear and concise business requirements, process maps, and user guides.
- Contribute to the development of best practices and templates to standardize BA processes.
- Support post-implementation reviews and recommend ongoing improvements.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst, System Analyst, or in a hybrid role working across IT, operations, or process improvement projects.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end gaming platform architecture — including game integration, player management, payments, and reporting systems.
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and integration requirements.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical, product, and compliance teams.
- Familiarity with Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies and tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.
- Experience with SQL, APIs, XML/JSON data structures, or testing tools is an asset.
- Awareness of regulatory frameworks (e.g., MGA, UKGC, or Curaçao licensing) and data privacy standards (GDPR) is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of ISO27001 highly desirable.
